PREZI

I heard about prezi from a teacher at the school i work for.  I walked into his classroom during one of my observations and i saw that the same powerpoint i was using in my class was been used by him but in very different way(much better way).
after class was over i ask about and he gave me the website where i could start, not only changing my powerpoints to prezi presentations but also creating new presentation directly with prezi.  the tool is very easy to use and so much more attractive to students than a powerpoint.  is free for educators and is AWESOME!!!

WIKI

i like the idea of student using wikis to collaborate during any project given to them, in any class.  I used wiki before during college to get projects and research paper done, so i know is a great tool that can be very beneficial to both the teacher and the student.

google reader

I've never used reader before, but after learning about it today i think is a great tool to keep up with current events in the science community.  In addition, the school that i work for provides a computer for every student so, my student could really benefit by using reader when researching any topic.

GOOGLE DOCS

I used google docs in college, so creating a document or sharing documents in with this tool was very simple for me.

DELICIOUS

Im use to bookmarking everything in my computer but i think i like this way better. no matter where Im at ill have access to my links

GLOGSTER

Glogster is a very useful tool to use with students when it comes to presentations of project walls.  I try to stay away form Power Points as much as i can, so when i found out about glogster i started using it for a lot of my projects and presentations.

check out my glogster and let me know what you think:

BLOGS IN THE CLASSROOM

i think that a great way to use a blog in my classroom is to use it as a bellringer.  I think it would work great if instead of having my students write in their notebooks about the topic that is going to be cover that day in class they write a comment on the blog.  the content would alway be available not only for them but also for the entire class the during the entire year.
